Introducing…

Marvelous Daphne!!

We have had a Marvelous Week with Marvelous Daphne as our Marvelous Me!!  She brought a fun, bright yellow poster to teach us a little more about her and her family!  Daphne lives at her NEW house with her mom, dad, sister, Delaney, and dog, Duncan!  Daphne loves to travel and spend time with her grandparents and cousins.  Daphne loves the beach and also likes to go fishing.  Daphne is a huge TCU fan and is a great soccer player and dancer!  Daphne also enjoys relaxing by getting manicures & pedicures with her mom!

Daphne's parents came and spent Tuesday morning with us!

Daphne's dad is a Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo.  

Her mom is a teacher here at SCS!

Mr. and Mrs. Nash came to our classroom to talk to us about being smart with our money!

They taught us that we need to divide our money into:

Save, Share, & Spend jars!

Next, we each made a guess as to how much money was in this jar!  Then they divided  money between our 4 tables, and we sorted and counted all the coins!

Each table worked together to do their "banking"!

After sorting, we tallied up what we counted!

At the top of the paper are our guesses and the bottom shows our counting!

Taylor was our closest guesser!

He guessed $45 and the actual amount was $35!

He got to take home a few coins for being our winner!

You taught us an important lesson about being smart with our money!

Tenery the Turtle is excited about spending the weekend with Daphne and going trick-or-treating with her!!
