Yesterday in our Life Science class with Mrs. Rall, we made a worm farm!!

Each student got to "pet" the worms!
Some were fearless...

…others were a bit hesitant…

…and others preferred just to look!
(like Mrs. Tenery!)

Mrs. Rall was teaching us about compost.
She talked to us about what will break down in the soil and what won't.
We learned that plastic cups and bags won't break down, but paper and potato skins will!

We will be observing those items in our worm farm.

After the worms were added, she covered the farm in soil.

Next, she "watered" the farm.

And then she added grass seed for fun!

We will be observing our worm farm for the next few weeks!
