Super Star Scientist Sam!

Objective:  To make an erupting volcano

Materials:  red food coloring, dish soap, baking soda, and vinegar

Sam was ready with his lab coat & goggles and his super cool volcano!

First, Sam put red food coloring and dish soap in the volcano.

Next, he poured in a test tube of baking soda.

Then he poured in a test tube of vinegar.

His volcano immediately started erupting...

…and erupting...

…and erupting some more!

Conclusion:  The baking soda and vinegar had a chemical reaction and mixed with the suds of the dish soap & food coloring to make "lava"!

That was such a fun experiment, Sam!
