Last but NOT least…
Super Star Scientist Zoey!
Objective: Will water make a paper plate into a water wheel and spin?
Materials: scissors, paper plate, pencil, tap water, and a ruler
Zoey, our scientist, was ready to show us her experiment with her lab coat, science book, and materials.
First Zoey made six 1 inch cuts around the edge of the circle that she had made out of a paper plate.
Next, Zoey's assistant, Mom, helped her fold the sections in half so the fold stands up…
Zoey finished up the folding...
…and made sure the folds were standing up.
After that, Zoey stuck a pencil through the center of the circle.
Zoey made a water wheel!
We went to the sink and Zoey held her water wheel under the faucet…and the wheel spun under the water!
Conclusion: When you hold the water wheel under the faucet, it spins!
Great job, Zoey!
You were a GREAT scientist!!
