Wednesday in class we did a Visual Thinking Strategy with the piece of art below.  
(Sorry the picture isn't great…I took the picture of the piece projected onto the SMART board.)
I then lead them in a discussion based on the following questions:
1.  What's going on in the picture?
2. What do you see that makes you say that?
3.  What more can we find?

They all did a great job and really concentrated to find many little details in the picture.

Here's an example,
Student - "I see a tiger fish."
Teacher - "What do you see that makes you say that?"
Student - "The fish has stripes like a tiger."

This is something you all can try at home.
You will be amazed what they see!
There is not a wrong answer!
