Finley did a GREAT job as our FIRST Super Star Scientist!

Experiment:  The Floating Egg

Objective:  How to make an egg float

First, Finley poured water into a glass. 

She then asked the class to PREDICT whether the egg would sink or float.

The egg sank to the bottom.

  

Next she added 3 spoonfuls of salt to the water...

…and stirred it. 

Finally, she put the egg in the salt water and it FLOATED! 

Conclusion: 

 The egg would float if we put enough salt in the water.
