Super Star Scientist
Delaney!

Delaney did a GREAT job as our Super Star Scientist after having performed in BIG chapel…it was a busy day for her!

Experiment:  New Mix
Objective:  To see what happens when you look through two colors at once

First, Delaney poured water into a bowl.

She then added blue food coloring to the water.

Next, she poured water into a small cup and added yellow food coloring.

Lastly, she placed the blue cup into the yellow bowl and the two colors reflected the color green
(picture will be posted at a later time)

To show the class that yellow + blue = green, Delaney poured the blue water into the yellow water…and then we had green!

Conclusion:
The water in the cup looked green.  The yellow water reflected yellow light which combined with the blue light reflection of the blue water, making the combination of light look like green water.
I am so proud of
Kindergarten
for the amazing job today leading the
devotional in BIG chapel!

(I apologize for not having all of the kids at the mic…if you have pictures, please share them with me!)

Way to go Haley!

There's always something exciting happening
in Kindergarten!!

After 2 days of wiggling & tugging,
Greenleigh finally lost her top tooth…
with a little help from Mrs. Tenery!!

And look who's reading & reading
Christian is a Super Star Reader
and earned another ice cream sundae!!

Super Star Scientist
Christopher!

Christopher came in ready to be our Super Star Scientist!
He had on his goggles and lab coat!

Experiment:  Naked Egg
Objective:  Dissolving the shell of an egg with vinegar

First, Christopher showed us how he had poured vinegar into a jar and soaked an egg for 24+ hours at home.
(He added food coloring for fun!)

Next, he took out the egg that had been soaking and let us feel it.  The vinegar had dissolved the shell of the egg, but the inner lining remained.

Then he placed the egg in a dish and used a knife to open it up!

He left an egg soaking in vinegar in our classroom so that we can watch the shell dissolve.
We will be able to see the pieces of the shell floating in the vinegar as it dissolves!

Conclusion:
When the shell of the egg dissolves, the inner lining of the egg is still present and holds the egg together.

Greenleigh was asked to help out in our chapel this morning…
