On Thursday we had an 8th grade class called
"Creative Ministries
come visit our classroom.
We read to them, they read to us, we wrote sentences together, and drew pictures to illustrate our sentences.  We hope you saw those come home yesterday!

Marvelous Grant!
Grant has been just MARVELOUS this week!
What fun we've had meeting his family and getting to know them all a little bit better!

Grant told us all about the pictures on his poster!  We learned that Grant has an awesome family that loves him! He likes to have fun and is very adventurous…we saw him on a bull, fishing, and buried in the sand on the beach!  Grant loves Legos, Star Wars, his friends, and the Baylor Bears!

Grant's mom and dad are the owners of the Chick-Fil-A
in the Parks Mall in Arlington!
They told us the important things each employee has to do when they work at Chick-Fil-A
1.  Make eye contact
2.  Smile
3. Speak Enthusiastically
4.  Stay Connected

Mr. and Mrs. Hassler brought all the items needed to make the yummy Chick-Fil-A lemonade and then

…we all got to squeeze lemons just like they do at their store!
Take a look at each of us hard at work!

After squeezing the lemons, Grant and his dad showed us how to make their delicious lemonade!

First, pour in the lemon juice.

Second, add water.

Next add sugar.

And, finally, stir it all together!

After making our lemonade, we had a super special guest visit our classroom…the Chick-Fil-A cow!!

Douglas, Amina, Cow, and Smith!

Addison, Rhyce, Cow, and Paul!

Thomas, Reese, Cow, and Sam!

Ryan, Grant, Spencer (Grant's friend), Cow, Caoilinn, and Payton!

Even Mrs. Tenery wanted a picture with the celebrity cow!

Of course, a group hug was necessary too!

After the cow moooooved on to her next job,

we enjoyed the fresh-squeezed lemonade and a cookie…

…and listened to 2 stories!

What Are You So Grumpy About?
and
Click Clack Moo Cows That Type

Thank you to the Hassler Family for a super fun afternoon!

Tenery the Turtle is looking forward to a fun weekend with Grant and his family!

Marvelous Sam!
Yay for Sam!  He was absolutely MARVELOUS this week, and we really enjoyed learning more about him and his family!

We loved Sam's poster and seeing all the pictures showing his family, favorite things, and what he enjoys doing! We learned that Sam likes Star Wars a lot, loves dressing up, enjoys time with his family, including cousins and grandparents, got to go on a special trip to Disney World, and loves to read!

Sam's mom came to visit our class on Wednesday and told us about her job as a Behavior Analyst at Children's Hospital in Dallas.  She works with kids even smaller than us!

Mrs. Greer read us 2 books that Sam picked out because he likes them so much!  The first one was called
Giraffes Can't Dance.
It taught us that even though we may not be able to do something just like everyone else, that doesn't mean we can't do it…we just need to do it our own way!

The 2nd book was called
 The Day the Crayons Quit!
It was a fun book that reminds us to see the world differently and be creative!

Thank you so much for spending your day with us Mrs. Greer.  We enjoyed our time with you!

Tenery the Turtle is excited to spend the long weekend with Sam and his family…he knows it will be lots of fun!
