Introducing our Marvelous Madyson!

Madyson brought a bright pink poster that showed all of her favorite things.  Madyson loves her family, softball, basketball, dancing, Disney, and all things Princess!  We loved getting to know Madyson better this week!

Mayson's mom and dad, LaFonda and Wes Somerville, both came to speak to us about their jobs at Alcon.  Mrs. Somerville is a microbiologist, and Mr. Somerville is a Chemist.  

The students had a great time "making" the flu virus in petri dishes.  They used jello, icing, sprinkles, and Nerds to simulate it!  

Don't worry parents...we didn't eat them!!

And did you see, they sent the girls home with "sore throats" 

and the boys with "colds"!

We had a lot of fun tasting apples and graphing our favorites.

Red Delicious was the most popular followed by Granny Smith!

Mrs. McCarthy came in and made homemade applesauce with all the different apples you all brought!

Thank you also to Mrs. Epps for peeling and dicing ALL those apples!

We ate it warm, and it smelled and tasted delicious...just ask Luka!!
