Marvelous Reese!
Reese has been absolutely MARVELOUS this week!
We've enjoyed learning more about her and her family this week!

Reese brought a fun BRIGHT PINK poster full of pictures of her family and pets!  What fun she has with her big sister, Abbi, her parents, and her dog, Blacky!  Reese and her family love to spend time together at family camp at Camp Kanakuk!  What fun they must all have together playing and dressing up in fun costumes!  Reese is also a little athlete…she likes to play soccer!

Reese's mom came and spent this morning with us telling us all about her job.  She works for a company called Cyntel.  She is the director of Healthcare and Life Science.  She works with hospitals and insurance…she does a lot of traveling!  She does a lot of communication with people in India and has even travelled there!

Reese's dad works for Alcon.  He helps doctors during surgeries on the lenses of patients' eyes!

Thank you so much for telling us about what you do!
We know you're busy, so we really appreciate the time you spent with us!
(While she was visiting with us, people from India were calling her!)

I can tell Tenery is excited to spend the weekend with Reese!
Have fun together!

Marvelous Amina!
Everything about Amina was MARVELOUS this week!  We enjoyed learning more about her and her family!

Amina brought her colorful poster full of pictures of her family and some of her favorite things!  We got to see pictures of her and her twin brother, Tobias, and her big sister, Fiona.  We learned that Amina loves Hello Kitty, the Littlest Pet Shop, and Lalaloopsy Dolls!  Amina also loves to paint and draw.  Some of Amina's favorite foods are cheese pizza, candy, and donuts with sprinkles!  We loved learning more about our friend, Amina, this week!

On Thursday, Amina's mom, Mrs. Parish, came to tell us about her job at the Gladney Center for Adoption.  She helps little boys and girls find a "forever home"!  What a special job!  They place kids from here, but also from other countries like Ethiopia, Honduras, and China!

Mrs. Parish read a great book called A Mother for Choco.  It's about a little bird trying to find its mom…someone who looks like him, but he ended up finding a bear that does everything his mommy might do.  She takes him home and Choco meets her other children…a hippo, an alligator, and a piglet!  Choco learned that even though families may look different they can all fit together and love each other just the same.  What a great message and lesson we learned!

Mrs. Parish showed us slides of where she works, pictures of the founders, and even some "famous people" who were adopted…like Batman, Spiderman, and Superman!
We even learned that one of our presidents was adopted - President Clinton!

Each child received some goodies from Gladney…a cup, pencil, and 2 stickers!  Did your child tell you that November is National Adoption Awareness Month?

A BIG thank you to Amina and her family for taking the time to visit with us this week!
Have fun with Tenery the Turtle, Amina!

Wow!!!
Look at these Super Star Readers!
Ryan and Thomas
read another 15 books! Way to go boys!
Keep up the super reading!

Happy 6th Birthday
Smith!

We had fun singing to Smith and celebrating with him!  He brought a cookie cake to share with his classmates…it had wrestlers and a wrestling ring on it!

We hope all your birthday wishes come true!
