 The 2013 Elementary Campus
PINK OUT
Homecoming Pep Rally!!

Rah, rah, SCS!!

The pep rally started out with a generous gift of $5,400 from SCS to the the Virginia Clay Dorman Breast Care Clinic!
The money was raised through the sales of the
PINK OUT T-SHIRTS!

Virginia Clay Dorman graciously matched our gift and made the total donation $10, 800!
With this money, the center plans to buy a blanket warmer for their patients.  It will proudly display an EAGLE on the side of it so the patients know where the generous gift came from!  Thank you to all who contributed!  What a blessing!

And then the PEP RALLY began...
the cheers rang loudly through the gym
and the school spirit was in full force!!

Our class watched on as our
Junior Eagle Cheerleaders led us in a chant!

Then came the Middle School Cheerleaders...

and the High School Dance Team!

Next, the Drum Line really added the noise!

The High School Cheerleaders came out to cheer with us and award the Spirit Stick!
(4th grade won!)

And, finally, we ended with the School Song and Fight Song!

We hope to see everyone out at the
Homecoming Game on Friday night!!

GO EAGLES!!

What a beautiful day God blessed us with
at the
Fort Worth Nature Center
on Thursday, October 17!

The kids stopped to examine prints they saw on the trails!  They enjoyed trying to guess what animal had stepped there before them!

Jack posed with an owl perched behind him!

Our parents and students relaxed in the sun after their hikes! Everyone ate lunch together and enjoyed talking with old friends and meeting new ones!

P.S.  If you have pictures from your group, please email them to me or send them on a flash drive or disc...thanks!!

The students enjoyed our 1st performance by the ladies of
Story Time Theater
presenting their original play...
Gertrude McFuzzy & The Three Little Whos
It was a mix of familiar Dr. Seuss characters and stories with a Goldilocks type story spun in!
The kids laughed out loud at the humor and funny characters and participated from the audience in the story!

We had another
Super Star Reader
earn his ice cream sundae today!
Way to go Joseph!!

Introducing...
Marvelous Haley!!

Haley brought a bright pink poster to show us all about her family and favorite things!  We learned that Haley likes TCU, balletsnow skiing, and the princesses at Disneyland!

Haley's dad, Mark Mourer, came and told us about his job.  He works for a company, Buxton, that helps other companies find the best location for their new stores/restaurants!  He showed us on his iPad all the different companies that use his company's services...like Target!

Haley's mom, Kelly Mourer, also came and told us about her job as a nurse in the NICU at Cook Children's Hospital.  She told us about the special beds and equipment she uses for her tiny patients!  She showed us pictures of one special baby that was in NICU when she was born...our very own Macey!

Nurse Mourer also showed us the teeny tiny diapers the babies wear when they are in her unit.  They are so small they fit on our littlest doll in our classroom home center!!

A BIG thank you to the Mourer family for spending the morning with us!
We enjoyed learning more about your family!
