It's only been a week, and we already have grass growing and a pumpkin sprout!

We have some green thumbs!!

Friday, October 21, 2016

We are going to (attempt to) grow a pumpkin and rye grass!  We've planted the seeds and we hope to see sprouts soon!

(the left side is the grass/the right side is the pumpkin)

Please say a little prayer for our little seeds...
Mrs. Tenery doesn't have much of a green thumb! :)
We work hard in Kindergarten so we have to find time to play hard, too!

Here is a sneak peak into some of our center fun!

What a MARVELOUS week we had with
MARVELOUS EVAN!

Evan brought this super cool poster to help us learn a little bit more about him!  Evan is 6 years old and lives with his mom, dad, and 2 dogs, Jessie and Zuma!  We learned that Evan is a baseball player, likes to fish, and go to the beach.  Evan also REALLY likes tractors!  Evan likes to play Minecraft and his favorite movies are Toy Story and The Polar Express.  For Evan's 5th birthday, he went to Disney World to celebrate!  If you want to give Evan a sweet treat, he really loves chocolate chip cookies!!

Evan's mom and dad came and visited with us on Tuesday morning.  Evan's mom told us about her career as a real estate agent.  She works with her mom...so cool!  You can visit them at their purple tent in Frog Alley at the next home TCU game! She brought each of us a purple goodie bag!!

Evan's dad told us about his job as a CPA...he helps companies with their taxes.  He also brought baseball equipment because he's Evan's baseball coach!  The kids enjoyed checking out the ball, glove, and bat!

A BIG thank you to the Osterkamp family for spending the morning with us...it was MARVELOUS!!

Marvelous Jackson
is having a
Marvelous Week!

Jackson brought this cool poster full of pictures to help us get to know him better!  We learned that Jackson is a little brother (to Parker) and a BIG brother (to Ellie)!  Jackson's name is very special...he was named after his Great Great Grandfather and his dad!  Jackson has 2 dogs, Kloie and Lady Bird.  His favorite foods are pizza, lemonade, and candy.  Jackson's favorite things to do are to go hunting, fishing, tubing, and swimming. His favorite sports are baseball, football, and soccer and he likes super heroes and army stuff!

Mr. and Mrs. Lyness came and visited our class on Tuesday.
They told us about their business,
Lyness Construction in Cleburne!

What fun!  They brought a piece of equipment they use on many of their jobs.  It's called a "skid steer".
Each student got the chance to hop in and check it out!

Jackson L. started us out!

Thank you so much to the Lyness family for taking time out of their busy schedule to host such a fun morning!

We had a GREAT time this morning at the
PINK OUT PEP RALLY!

The middle school cheerleaders started us out with an
SCS chant!  Look at their cute pom moms!!

Next, Zeke the Eagle, came out and did a little dance!

After that, our very own Noah was called up to lead a chant!
"I believe..."
"I believe that we will..."
"I believe that we will WIN!"

Then we watched the SCS dance team!

And our super cute Junior Eagle Cheerleaders!

The Varsity cheerleaders
came out next with a cheer and a stunt!

Finally, our awesome drum line and...

...Rockin' Eagles closed out the morning!

The Kindergarteners took in all the SCHOOL SPIRIT!!

Hope to see everyone at the football game this Friday night at 7:30...come cheer on our EAGLES!!
