This week we went to BIG CHAPEL and watched Mrs. Hart's 3rd grade class present the devotional!

We enjoyed singing...

watching Zac Tenery as Joseph...

...and learning about how God is Good!

We are such great readers!

3 more friends reached the 15 book mark!

Way to go...
Macey, Will, and Greenleigh

Keep up the SUPER READING!

Introducing...
Marvelous Hannah!!

Hannah's HOT PINK poster was full of fun family pictures!
Hannah's poster showed us her snow skiing talents, her fun SeaWorld trip, her cool 4-wheeler adventure, and a fun beach picture with her cousin!
Hannah... we love all the pictures of your mom, dad, sister, cousins, grandparents and aunts & uncles!

Hannah's mom, Mrs. Miller, is a SCIENTIST!
She brought petri dishes for each student. Each child pressed his/her fingers in the "gel".  We covered and placed the petri dishes in the window.  We will watch the germs grow over the next week!  Ewww!!  We'll definitely be washing our hands with soap and water A LOT!

Mrs. Miller also brought "germs" for the students to see and play with!  They enjoyed seeing what those little germs would look like if they were bigger!
(notice our photo bomber...Christopher!)

Mr. Miller, a police officer, came and told us all about his job and all the different equipment he uses to
"Serve and Protect"!
He called my driver's license in to dispatch and found I was
"good and clear"! Whew...what a relief! :)
Officer Miller also "cited" me for a traffic violation and showed the class how he can print tickets from his hand held computer!  I hope that will be dismissed!

Next, we went outside for a look at his police car!

Then each child had the chance to get in and get a closer look!  They thought that was pretty cool, but decided they would rather stay on the outside!!

Thank you so much Miller Family for all the time you spent with us today!
We enjoyed getting to know your family better!

P.S.  Officer Miller gave each child an orange bag today which includes 2 Child ID Kits.  Please take a moment to read over it and consider filling them out.  I have more in my classroom if you need them.
If you have any questions, Officer Miller is happy to assist you.

Keep up the hard work and great reading!

Finley and Christopher
(Wednesday)

Delaney and Jonathan
(Thursday)
On Wednesday, October 2, we met our
Freshmen Bible Buddies!
They will come visit us 2 times each semester!

This week they told us the story of Jonah!

We all sat together and listened!

After the story, we played a fun game of
Ships and Sailors!

Following the game, each child met her/her Bible Buddy(s), colored a picture with them, and had a snack of
"whales in the ocean"!

This is such a fun tradition of having these BIG kids come worship with our LITTLE ones!
These will be sweet little relationships that will form
throughout the schoolyear!

Introducing...
Marvelous Jack!!

Jack's poster was filled with fun family pictures!  We learned that Jack loves to swim, play with his cousins, dress up like a
Power Ranger, and eat macaroni & cheese and Pink Lady apples!

Jack's mom, Dr. Lewis, is a pediatrician.
She came and talked to us about her job as a doctor.  She talked about why we go to the doctor, what a patient is, different things doctors use, and how we can stay healthy!
Jack's dad was busy at work this morning at a law office...we missed you, but we hope you had a productive day!

Jack and Dr. Lewis brought us each a
book mark and Jack's favorite
Iron Man fruit snacks!

Thank you for your time Dr. Lewis!
We enjoyed learning with you!
