What a fun surprise we had today…

The Varsity Boys & Girls Basketball Teams

came to wish us a 

Merry Christmas!

If you get the chance, come watch and cheer on their teams at the SCS high school!  Both teams are great, and chances are, you might see me there cheering too!! :)

 Last, but definitely not least, our final

Marvelous Me!

It's Marvelous Zoey!!

Sweet Zoey had to wait 15 weeks, but it seemed to be worth it!  She had fun as our last Marvelous Me of the year!  She brought a hot pink poster filled with fun pictures of her and her family!  We We learned that Zoey loves Pink…she was even a Pink Lady for 50's Day and Halloween!  She LOVES zebras (because they both start with Z!) and her sweet cat.  Zoey is a great gymnast and has won medals competing!  Zoey also loves Disney World, the Disney Princesses, the beach, and all the other fun things she does with her family!

Zoey's mom came to our classroom and talked about her job at Pier 1 Imports!  She picks out all the stuff that the stores sell!  Isn't that fun, Moms?!  She gets to shop for a living! :)

Mrs. Workman brought a catalog to show us that her girls' picture is featured in!  She won a contest at work, and that was her prize!  The picture above was in the catalog that was mailed to thousands of people!!  You girls are famous!!

Zoey's dad also joined us!  He told us about his job as an electrician!  The kids sure had a lot of fun questions for him!

Didn't the kids do a GREAT job at the

Grandparents' Day Program?!!

Well, it took a lot of hard work and practice to get to that final product, and boy did they do their best!!

Here they all are on our first bus ride as a class headed to the church for rehearsal!  This was such big fun as you can tell by their big smiles! :)

Introducing…

Marvelous Taylor!!

We had fun learning more about Taylor this week from his cool red and blue poster and all his pictures!  Taylor lives with his mom, dad, and big sister, Jacey!  Taylor loves to play outside and loves animals!  Taylor likes tractors and camping with his dad!  Taylor is on a swim team and enjoys riding his bicycle!

Taylor's mom, Coach Winn, came to school on Thursday and taught us about her favorite sport, soccer!  Coach Winn is the Varsity soccer coach at the SCS Prep Campus!  She also brought 3 of her Varsity soccer players to help us!

First, we played a fun game of tag!  Each student had a penny in their waistband.  The object was to pull their classmates' pennies off without their own being pulled!  The last one with his/her penny still on was the winner!

Next, they did a dribbling drill.Each student had to kick the ball in and out through the cones!  It was a race!  I think the girls won, but they had one less player…so maybe it was a tie! :)
