Introducing...
Marvelous Joseph!!

Earlier this week, Joseph brought a poster to show us all about his family & friends!
Joseph loves to do karate, swim, play with his friends, and travel!
Joseph also told us about how his family is really going to grow in March...he will have
6 new brothers & sisters when his family adopts special boys and girls from Africa!
What a blessing the Jones family is to these children!

Joseph's mom and dad came and told us all about their jobs!
Wow!  We were so excited to learn all about the amazing work they do!  In the pictures above & below, Mr. and Mrs. Jones taught us how to salute like soldiers!
Mrs. Jones is currently working in the Air Force Reserves.
She does recruiting for the Air Force AND
works to build new airplanes!!
Mr. Jones, who used to be in the Air Force, now works for a company that develops land, recycles waste into fuel, and produces energy through solar panels and wind!

The Jones Family also brought us goodies to remember their visit by...we each got pencils, a COOL jet key chain, and a folder about the Air Force.

A BIG thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Jones for sharing their time with us!  We look forward to meeting your new family members when they come to live here!

See You at the Pole
Wednesday, September 25, 2013

Our class joined the rest of the school for praise music and prayer around our flag pole.
We prayed for
our world, country, school, and families.

Will bowed his head as our
Student Council representatives prayed.

We are blessed to be at a school where we can pray and let everyone hear us praise HIM!

Blue, bleu, azul, blauw, blau, and lanse...

No matter what the language...

Christian received the class's first
BLUE for his unselfish behavior today!

During centers, we had a friend playing alone.  I asked if anyone would like to play with her.  Christian volunteered to leave the center he had chosen to play with this classmate.  Christian did that not knowing he would receive a BLUE.  He did it because it was the kind thing to do!

Way to go Christian!
You were an example to all of us today!

with pipe cleaners and beads!
Each child went home with one so ask them to show you what he/she learned today!
Ethan's dad was unable to come to class today...he was busy do his job as an

Delaney's daddy came dressed in his work suit and taught us about his job as a financial planner.  He told us the importance of saving money for our future and to set aside some to help other people in need.
He brought each of us a piggy bank and coloring book!

Mrs. Chase, Delaney's mom, came dressed in her scrubs and told us about her job as the nurse at the SCS Prep Campus.  She told us different ways to stay healthy and let us each listen to our heart beat!

Introducing...
Marvelous Christopher!!

We sure enjoyed learning more about Christopher this week!
We are blessed to have him in our class!

Christopher brought a poster and told us all about his favorite things!  We enjoyed hearing about his cats that hunt!

Christopher's neighbor, Dr. Hickey, who is like a grandfather to him, arranged to send an ambulance and paramedics to visit our class!

The lights were flashing and the siren was sounding!

We all got to walk through the ambulance and see the equipment inside!

The paramedics were kind enough to come in and talk to us too!

After that...
Dr. Hickey and Nurse Ann visited with us.

They brought models of a spine and brain for us to see!
They also let each of us listen to our heartbeat, and they talked to us about the importance of wearing helmets when we ride our bikes and scooters!

Thank you to Christopher, Mrs. Caldwell, and Dr. Hickey for a fun, informative morning!
